BOARDMAN STATE CHAMPS TO HAVE SENDOFF
BOARDMAN, OH – The Boardman Girls 12u Softball Team, fresh off its victory in the Ohio State Championship, will hold a final practice Friday, July 22 from 4:00-6:00 PM before heading to Indianapolis over the weekend to represent the State of Ohio in the Regional round of the Little League World Series. Coaches and players will be available for interviews around 5:30.
Members of the Boardman Community are also invited to come out and support the team at this time as well. The Kona Ice Truck will also be onsite.
The Regional Round is comprised of teams from Ohio, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, and Wisconsin.
The team would like to thank all the generous members of the community that have made donations to help defray the cost of the trip. All money raised will benefit the girls directly. Boardman will represent Ohio in the Central Region of Little League Play in Whitestown, Indiana. Boardman will play Kentucky on July 25 at 7:00pm with all games streamed live on ESPN Plus.
