BOBCATS POUNCE ON A MUCH NEEDED WIN

By Noah Doughty

BEAVER PA- The Beaver Bobcats were back at home as the girls got ready to take on the Central Valley Warriors. Both teams came into the game 1-1 in section play and it was Beaver who was able to secure a 55-51 win.

While Beaver was able to end each quarter with a lead Central Valley was able to hang around the whole game briefly re taking the lead a few times including one in the final minutes of the game. But it was the Bobcats who responded well to the adversity and quickly regained the lead each time on their way to victory. A large part of that was their ability to create jump balls and turnovers on the defensive end stopping any momentum Central Valley gained.

Annsley Baker was the lead scorer for the Bobcats with 28 points and Dominique Douglas had 12 points for the Warriors.

The Bobcats next game is on Thursday, December 11th as they travel to Ambridge. Beaver improves to 5-8 on the season and 2-1 in section.
