CANFIELD BATS BREAK OUT TO BEAT BULLDOGS

POLAND OH- Canfield’s offense had two days worth of frustration against Austintown Fitch. They came into their game with Poland on a mission to prove how well they can swing the bats. They definitely put on a show. Their offense exploded to a 12-6 win to get their first victory of the season.

Bayann Jadallah was the hallmark of the offense. She went 4-5 with a HR, 3 RBI and 3 runs scored.  Gianna Pannunzio was also a big factor in the lineup. She went 3-5 with 3 RBI. Cara Spencer also put together a three hit game going 3-4 with a RBI and a run scored.  Macy Kalina went 2-4 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored.

Malena Toth got the start in the circle for the Cardinals. Her final line looked like this, 5.0 IP 8 H 2 BB 9 K 3 ER.

Katie McDonald had a perfect day at the plate reaching in all four appearances. She went 2-2 with a HR and 2 RBI. Mary Brant went 2-4 with 2 RBI. Sophia D’Angelo went 2-4 with a RBI.

McDonald took the loss for the Bulldogs. Her final line read like this, 6 IP 16 H 1 BB 6 K 5 ER.

Canfield is scheduled to host Louisville for a double header on Saturday starting at 11:00. Poland will host Struthers on Monday.
