CANFIELD SLAMS THE DOOR SHUT ON THE DUKES

ALLIANCE OH- Canfield’s defense held strong on Friday night as they secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Marlington. Despite a late surge from the Dukes in the bottom of the 7th inning, the Cardinals managed to slam the door shut to seal the win.

Leading the charge for Canfield’s offense was Michael Patellis, who went 1-for-3 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored. Zain Jadallah also contributed, going 1-for-3 and crossing the plate once, while Anthony Groner added a hit to the scoreboard. Tanner Stricko drew a walk and scored a run.

On the mound, Noah Anzevino started for Canfield, pitching 3 solid innings, allowing 3 hits and 1 earned run while striking out 3 batters. Will Murphy came in as relief and delivered an outstanding performance, pitching 3 innings without allowing a hit or an earned run while tallying 3 strikeouts.
