CHADWICK LOOMS LARGE IN LAKEVIEW WIN

Lakeview snagged a late lead and defeated Jefferson Area 11-10 on Thursday. The game was tied at six with the Bulldogs batting in the top of the fifth when Ella Chadwick singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Despite falling down by five runs in the fifth inning, Jefferson Area tried to fight back. They scored two runs in the failed comeback on a double and a groundout.

Jefferson Area evened things up at six in the bottom of the third inning.

Chadwick pitched Lakeview to victory. The ace allowed 13 hits and ten runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Raegan Schick threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. Schick recorded the last out to earn the save.

Lakeview scattered 11 hits in the game. Kylie Imes, Gianna Caruso, and Schick each managed multiple hits. Schick, Caruso, and Imes all had two hits to lead.
