BLUE JAYS STUN SPRINGFIELD AND STAY IN MVAC HUNT

NORTH JACKSON OH- In a game where Jackson Milton needed a win keep in the MVAC title hunt, they got it. The Blue Jays controlled MVAC leading Springfield all night, and only trailed once midway through the fourth quarter. The win puts Jackson Milton tied with Springfield with 1 loss in the conference, both teams are looking up at Waterloo who has yet to loose an MVAC game.

Leading the Blue Jays on their big night was senior Chelsea Williams. She was scoring from everywhere on the floor on her way to a 24 point performance. Ava Darney patrolled the middle of the floor and scored 16 for Milton. Kylie Wilson was also in double figures with 14. Carla Blancafort contributed 6.

Springfield felt with some foul trouble which led to stretches without their top scorers on the floor. Kayla Lamorticella stepped big in their absence and scored 14 points to lead. Jameka Brungard was also in double figures with 12. Jacey Mullen battled her way to a 9 point performance.

Jackson Milton will set their sights on Western Reserve for a road game on Monday. Springfield will need to recover quickly as they host now league leading Waterloo on Monday.
