CLIPPERS CANT COME BACK AGAINST OAK GLEN

COLUMBIANA OH- The Clippers fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 8-4 loss to Oak Glen on Saturday. Oak Glen scored on a walk and a groundout in the first inning.

The Clippers scored four runs in the seventh inning. Audrey Smith, Alaina Johnston, and Alivia Bell all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Tori Long took the loss for Columbiana. The righty lasted three and a third innings, allowing five hits and four runs while striking out five.

Julia Rapp went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Clippers in hits.

Columbiana will return to the diamond on Monday as they host Leetonia.
