FALCONS BLANK BULLDOGS

AUSTINTOWN, OH- Jake Corll had all the right stuff on Wednesday for Austintown Fitch, allowing no runs and besting Lakeview by a score of 6-0

The Falcons secured the victory thanks to five runs in the fourth inning. Fitch put the pressure on, lead by doubles by Carson Fuller and Mason Petridis, a single by Donavan Bell-Sullivan, and a sac fly by Brandon Popio.

One bright spot for Lakeview was a single by Alex Stowe in the second inning.

Corll was the winning pitcher for Austintown-Fitch Varsity Falcons. The bulldog went all seven, allowing zero runs on five hits, striking out six and walking zero.

Tony Malone took the loss for Lakeview. Malone went three and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on four hits, striking out three and walking zero.

Austintown Fitch tallied ten hits in the game. Bell-Sullivan and Fuller each racked up multiple hits for Austintown-Fitch Varsity Falcons. Bell-Sullivan led Austintown-Fitch Varsity Falcons with three hits in three at-bats.

Lakeview racked up five hits in the game. Stowe and Anthony Caruso all had multiple hits for Lakeview.
