FLASHES BACK WHERE THEY LEFT OFF

WARREN OH- Champion came out swinging on Monday as they returned to league play with a vengeance, sweeping Newton Falls in a doubleheader with scores of 19-0 in game 1 and 6-0 in game 2. Game 1 ended in just four innings, while game 2 ended in three innings, showcasing Champion’s offensive and pitching prowess.

In game 1, Champion’s offense exploded with Gabby Gradishar leading the charge. Gradishar had a phenomenal performance, going 3-for-3 with three home runs, four RBIs, and four runs scored. Addie Warzala also had a big game, going 3-for-4 with two home runs, five RBIs, and three runs scored. Zoe Palette contributed with a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, driving in one run and scoring three times. Bella Meyer and Hailey Householder also added to the offensive onslaught.

In the circle, Gradishar was untouchable, pitching a perfect game over four innings with ten strikeouts.

In game 2, Champion’s bats remained hot with Gradishar and Warzala continuing their dominance. Gradishar launched another home run and drew a walk, while Warzala added another home run and two RBIs. Householder and Sam Strock also contributed with RBIs of their own.

Once again, Gradishar shined in the circle, pitching another perfect game over three innings with eight strikeouts
