FLASHES WALK OFF LAKEVIEW IN BACK AND FORTH THRILLER

Champion took the lead late in the game in a 9-8 victory over Lakeview on Wednesday. Lakeview trailed 7-6 in the top of the sixth inning when Maggie Pavlansky doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Lakeview scored five runs in the fifth inning, but Champion still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Lakeview came thanks to home runs by Pavlansky, and Makenna Werner, and a single by Raegan Schick.

Champion opened up an early lead in the second inning when Bella Meyer singled on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs.

The Flashes knotted the game up at eight in the bottom of the seventh inning. Mady Jones hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring one run.

Abigail Meadors led the Flashes to victory in the circle. Meadors went seven innings, allowing eight runs on nine hits and striking out five.

Schick took the loss for Lakeview. Schick went one-third of an inning, allowing one run on zero hits, striking out one and walking one.

Ella Chadwick started the game for Lakeview. The pitcher lasted four and a third innings, allowing six hits and seven runs while walking zero

Lakeview mashed two home runs on the day. Pavlansky had a homer in the fifth inning. Werner went also yard in the fifth inning.

Champion racked up ten hits in the game. Olivia Zigarovich, Meyer, and Madison Ziegler all collected multiple hits. Ziegler, Meyer, and Zigarovich all had two hits to lead.

Pavlansky went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Lakeview in hits.
