CLIPPER ARMS CONTINUE DOMINATION

COLUMBIANA OH- Devin Daugherty and Seth Spooner combined for a no-hitter Wednesday afternoon as the Clippers defeated the Wellsville Tigers 10-0 in EOAC Action.  With the win, Columbiana moves to 10-0 on the season and 4-0 in the EOAC.

Daugherty picked up his second win of the season as he struck out five in his three innings of work.  Seth Spooner got his second save of the year as he finished off the final three innings striking out eight.

At the plate, Columbiana pounded out 12 hits.  Carson Dota, Bayden Pipoly, Brady Kridler, Alex Eusebio, and Spooner each had two hits.  Dota had a double and two RBI’s.  Spooner also doubled and knocked in four runs.  Pipoly scored three runs for the Clippers and stole four bases.

Next up for Columbiana will be a night game at Cene Park against the Lakeview Bulldogs.  Game time is scheduled for 7 PM.
