HOWLAND LOOKS IMPRESSIVE IN FINAL TOURNAMENT TUNE UP

COLIMBIANA OH- Howland didn’t hold back in their final game before tournament play, putting on an offensive showcase to secure a convincing 13-3 run-rule victory over Columbiana.

The Tigers came out swinging, with their bats on fire from the first pitch. Brooke Tatar led the charge, going 2 for 4 at the plate with an impressive 4 RBIs. Madison Schmitz and Alyssa Massucci also contributed, each going 2 for 4 with multiple RBIs and runs scored. Maya Kubanscek had a standout performance, going 3 for 4 with a home run, 1 RBI, and scoring 3 runs. Zoey Tomko added to the offensive onslaught with a timely hit and an RBI of her own.

In the circle, Tatar was in control, pitching five innings and tallying seven strikeouts. Despite allowing 8 hits, Tatar limited the damage, allowing just 3 earned runs to secure the win for Howland.

Columbiana fought hard at the plate, but they couldn’t keep up with Howland’s offensive barrage. Caitlynn Pleska led the way for the Clippers, going 1 for 1 with a home run, 1 RBI, and crossing the plate twice. Ava Davanzo and Maryn Hepler also contributed RBIs, while Alaina Johnston added a run scored.
