KELM'S FOUR RBI SET THE PACE FOR LADY BULLDOGS

CORTLAND, OH- Cait Kelm came the ballpark and meant business on Monday, driving in four on three hits to lead Lakeview past Girard 11-6 on Monday. Kelm drove in runs on a single in the first, a double in the second, and a home run in the third.

An early lead helped propel the Lady Bulldogs to victory. Lakeview scored on a single by Beady Titus, a single by Kelm, and a single by Laura Garvin in the first inning. Lakeview tallied five runs in the second inning. The Bulldog batters contributing to the big inning included Kelm, Olivia Kelm, and Abbie Campana, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Kelm also pitched Lakeview to victory. She went five innings, allowing six runs on three hits and striking out 11.

Culver took the loss for Girard. She went four innings, allowing 11 runs on 14 hits.

Lakeview racked up 14 hits in the game. Titus, Kelm, Raegan Schick, and Kelm each racked up multiple hits for the Lady Dogs. Kelm and Titus each managed three hits to lead the team.

Girard didn’t commit a single error in the field. Sam Dohy had the most chances in the field with four.
