KNIGHT RIDES TO 1,000 POINTS

Despite a promising win earlier in the week, United couldn’t maintain their momentum as they faced Maplewood on Wednesday, falling at home with a final score of 63-43. The Eagles encountered a resilient Maplewood team that proved to be a tough opponent.

Grace Knight, however, achieved a significant milestone in the midst of the defeat, earning her 1000th career point. Knight’s accomplishment marks her as the fourth player in United’s girls program to reach this scoring milestone, a testament to her skill and dedication on the court. While the team faced challenges, Knight’s achievement stands as a bright spot in their basketball journey.

In terms of scoring for the Eagles, Addy Blazer led with 12 points, closely followed by Grace Knight with 11 points, and Grayson Kidder contributing 9 points.

With this setback, United’s record stands at 13-6. Undeterred, they are set to return to action promptly on Thursday, hosting East Palestine at home.
