LABRAE FIGHTS THROUGH THE WARRIORS

LEAVITTSBURG OH- LaBrae scored six runs in the third on its way to a 10-2 victory over Brookfield on Tuesday. LaBrae put the pressure on, lead by singles by Riley Davidson and Owen Boone, by Keith Smith, and by Jordan McCartney.

The Vikings opened up scoring in the second inning. Coby Airwyke drew a walk, scoring one run.

LaBrae notched six runs in the third inning. The rally was led by singles by Davidson and Boone, by Smith, and by McCartney.

Airwyke toed the rubber for LaBrae. The hurler allowed two hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out 14.

Mark Randall was on the pitcher’s mound for Brookfield. The bulldog lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing eight hits and eight runs while striking out one. Hunter Warrender threw three and a third innings out of the bullpen.

The Vikings racked up 12 hits in the game. Airwyke, Boone, Brogan Collins, and Dylan Simpson all collected multiple hits. Airwyke led with three hits in three at bats.

LaBrae was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Collins had the most chances in the field with nine.
