NEW WATERFORD, OH- 24 hours following a tough loss to EOAC rival Leetonia, the East Palestine Lady Bulldogs Softball team let the offense loose in a crazy back and forth 14-9 victory on Tuesday.

Morgan Rutledge paced the Bulldog attack with a 5 RBI night, going 3-5 at the dish.  That wasn’t the end of the script on Rutledge’s night- making a catch in a dead sprint going to her glove-side in the outfield retiring Leetonia’s Megan Rosko, and ending the Lady Bear threat, and the next inning came up throwing from centerfield and cut down a runner at the plate on the swift tag by EP’s Gia Brestelli.

Speaking of Brestelli, Gia also had a big night at the dish, going 3 for 5 with a pair of RBI.  Senior Joclyn Fristik also had a three-hit night with 2 RBI.

Gabby Andre got the win in the circle, going the distance for the Brown and White, scattering 11 hits, giving up five earned runs, while striking out five.

For Leetonia, Haleigh Brock had three hits and drove in a run.  Megan Rosko had a single, double, and 3 RBI, while Allison Francosky drove in a pair.

East Palestine will host Pymatuning Valley on Friday.
