LADY QUAKERS RALLY TO TAKE KENT STATE CLASSIC

SALEM, OH- After a slow start, the Salem Lady Quakers bounced back to form on Monday night to win an exciting Kent State Columbiana County Volleyball Classic.  It was a special night where the KSU Columbiana County Campus’ would give away scholarships, speakers, swag, and more to attendees.  The winner would also take home the matches first-ever traveling trophy courtesy of the university.

One that will now belong to Salem until 2020’s matchup at East Liverpool.

While the score represented a 22-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-23 for the Lady Quakers the storyline was much deeper as the Red and Black attack had to find an answer for East Liverpool’s Emma Ludwig who had an outstanding match starting from the first serve.

For the Quakers, Elly Exline had 22 kills, 2 blocks, and 20 digs. Hayden Carner added 12 kills and 4 blocks while Jaden Hamilton added 11 kills and 3 blocks. Also for the Quakers, Jenna McClish added 17 digs while Kaylee Freeman added 6 aces and 38 assists.

The Quakers will travel to Canton South tomorrow with a record of 15-5.
