LADY RAIDERS WRAP UP SPRING TRIP WITH CONVINCING WIN

MYRTLE BEACH, SC- The South Range Lady Raiders nabbed the lead late in the game in a 12-2 victory over High Point Christian Academy on Thursday. The game was tied at two with the Raiders batting in the top of the fourth when Madison Dado singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run.

South Range fired up the offense in the first inning. Samantha Susany hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring one run.

South Range Varsity Raiders took the lead for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Juli Stachowicz tripled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run and an error scored one run for South Range.  The Burgundy and Gold put up six runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught by South Range was led by Jamie Feren, Susany, and Stachowicz, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Susany led the South Range to victory in the pitcher’s circle. The right-hander allowed two hits and zero runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one.

Paisley Dixon took the loss for High Point Christian Academy. The Cougar hurler surrendered 11 runs on 11 hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out three.

Jayli Wilt started the game for South Range. Wilt allowed five hits and two runs over two and a third innings, striking out two and walking zero

South Range racked up 12 hits on the day. Stachowicz, Dado, Keira Brogan, and Susany all had multiple hits for South Range. Dado and Stachowicz each collected three hits to lead the Raiders.
