Conneaut, OH- Despite an impressive performance by Bryce Spurlin, who struck out 11 batters, the Conneaut Spartans couldn’t secure a win against the Pymatuning Valley Lakers on Saturday at CLYO. Spurlin pitched a solid seven innings, allowing six hits and four runs while issuing three walks, but it wasn’t enough to stave off the Lakers’ offense.

The Pymatuning Valley Lakers took the lead in the fourth inning when A. Wludyga singled, bringing in one run and setting the tone for their offensive momentum.

Pitcher M. Smith was stellar for the Pymatuning Valley Lakers, pitching a complete game shutout. Smith’s dominant performance limited the Spartans to only four hits while striking out nine and walking four, effectively neutralizing Conneaut’s offense throughout the game.
