LAKEVIEW GETS THEIR REVENGE

GIRARD OH- Lakeview bounced back from their previous night’s loss to Girard by edging out the Indians 7-6 in a close contest, splitting the season series.

The Lakeview offense came alive, led by Andrew Brown, who went 3-4 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Brandon Toot contributed with a 2-3 performance, driving in 3 runs and scoring 1 himself. Jake Nicholas reached base three times, going 2-3 with a walk and scoring a run, while Hayden Newton added 2 hits and scored a run.

On the mound, Nathan Paolucci pitched a solid game, going 7 innings and allowing 7 hits and 4 earned runs while striking out 4 batters. Paolucci also closed the game with 3 innings of relief, allowing just 2 hits and no earned runs while striking out 2.

Girard’s offense put up a fight, with Jaden Royal driving in 2 runs on his 1-5 performance. Joe Marsco contributed with 2 hits, including an RBI, and scoring a run, while Nate Freeland and Kaiden Clare each added 2 hits.

On the mound for Girard, Dominick Tollone pitched 4 innings, allowing 8 hits and 5 earned runs while striking out 5 batters.

In the end, Lakeview’s offense and pitching were enough to secure the narrow victory, avenging their previous loss to Girard and splitting the season series.
