LAKEVIEW OUTLASTS STRUTHERS IN SLUGFEST

STRUTHERS, OH- The Lakeview Lady Bulldogs snagged a late lead and defeated Struthers 19-10 on Wednesday. The game was tied at ten with Lakeview batting in the top of the eighth when Maggie Pavlansky hit a solo homer to start a 9-run party. Kylie Imes led Lakeview to victory by driving in four runs. Imes went 3-for-5 at the plate. Imes drove in runs on a single in the second and a home run in the eighth.

Lakeview got things moving in the first inning when an error scored a run.  In the top of the seventh inning, Lakeview tied things up at ten. Gianna Caruso singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run as part of a 3-run frame.

Raegan Schick led the Lady Bulldogs to victory on the rubber. The fireballer surrendered five runs on seven hits over seven innings, striking out ten and walking one.

For Struthers, Nicolina Pezzone took the loss for Struthers. The Wildcat standout allowed 17 hits and 18 runs over seven and two-thirds innings, striking out nine.

Ella Chadwick started the game for Lakeview, and allowed five hits and five runs over one inning, striking out one.

The Lady Bulldogs socked four home runs on the day. Pavlansky had a four-bagger in the eighth and eighth innings. Imes went yard in the eighth inning as well. Reagan Price put one out in the fourth inning.  Lakeview tallied 18 hits on the day. Pavlansky, Imes, Caruso, Price, Olivia Easton, Schick, and Hallie Capan all collected multiple hits for Lakeview. Pavlansky went 4-for-6 at the plate to lead the Lady Dogs in hits.
