CORTLAND OH- Lakeview has seen a tremendous amount of success in volleyball in the recent past. One of the key cogs to their fantastic attack is senior Tara Lytle. Lytle has been on the varsity floor since her freshman season, and has gotten better every year. Now as a captain she looks to not only lead the team statistically, but verbally and emotionally as well.

In 2021 Tara collected 357 kills, which was by far the best season of her career. What was more impressive than the high kill number though was her efficiency. Lytle had a hitting percentage of .530! That is astronomical. She made less than 70 errors on 599 total attacks.  She averaged 4.5 kills per set.  Tara also led the team from the service line collecting 33 aces on the season, while finishing second on the squad in blocks with 47.  With all these stats, and the plethora of volleyball experience behind her, it promises to be an electric senior campaign for Lytle.

Tara took the time to come on to YSN’s Running Point to talk with us about her senior season. She talks with Anthony Hartwig and Ty Bartell about being a leader, some personal goals she has put together for the season, and much more. Lakeview fans this is your last chance to see Tara in action. Don’t miss a minute of it, and check out this exclusive YSN interview!
