NO SLOWING THE ROCKETS DOWN

LOWELLVILLE OH- Lowellville continued their unbeaten streak with an impressive 33-14 victory over Campbell on the road. The game was action-packed, with both teams showcasing their strengths and determination.

The first quarter saw a strong defensive play from Lowellville’s Josh Pazel, who intercepted a pass. Geno Perry then powered through with a 6-yard touchdown run, followed by Tino Rivera-Ocasio’s 24-yard touchdown run, both punctuated by Matt Lucido’s successful PATs, giving Lowellville a 14-0 lead.

The second quarter remained scoreless, resulting in a halftime score of 14-0 in favor of Lowellville.

In the third quarter, Tino Rivera-Ocasio added a 7-yard touchdown run for Lowellville, expanding their lead to 20-0. Campbell responded with a 6-yard touchdown run by Mihali Koullias, but the PAT was not successful, leaving the score at 20-6.

Entering the fourth quarter with a 20-6 lead, Lowellville’s Michael Ballone connected with Matt Lucido for a 3-yard touchdown pass, although the ensuing PAT was unsuccessful, extending the lead to 26-6. Campbell fought back, with Mihali Koullias throwing a 52-yard touchdown pass to David Moore on a fourth-and-12 play. Koullias then completed a successful 2-point conversion, bringing the score to 26-14.

Lowellville sealed their victory with a 20-yard touchdown run by Geno Perry, followed by Matt Lucido’s successful PAT, bringing the final score to 33-14 in favor of Lowellville.

This win propels Lowellville forward as they prepare to face Tuscarawas Central Catholic in Week 3. Campbell, on the other hand, will challenge undefeated McDonald in their upcoming game.
