PIRATES STEAL ONE FROM THE EAGLES

RAVENNA, OH – In a thrilling and closely contested football game between the Southeast Pirates and the Warren JFK Eagles, the outcome was decided in the final moments of the fourth quarter, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.

The match began with a spectacular pass from Warren JFK’s quarterback, Fred Bolchalk, to Ian Odille for a 22-yard touchdown. The Eagles took an early 6-0 lead just 8 minutes and 12 seconds into the first quarter.

Southeast Pirates, however, responded swiftly. Antonio Mejia, the Pirates’ running back, broke free for a 13-yard touchdown run, tying the game at 6-6 with 5 minutes and 6 seconds remaining in the quarter.

The first quarter ended with both teams tied, setting the stage for an exciting matchup.

As the second quarter unfolded, the Warren JFK Eagles retook the lead. Marcus Komora carried the ball for a remarkable 32-yard touchdown run, putting the Eagles ahead 12-6 with 6 minutes remaining.

Southeast Pirates’ Case Myers had other plans. He executed a 3-yard touchdown run, and the extra point was good, making it 12-12.

The back-and-forth battle continued in the third quarter. Warren JFK’s Trevon Hall managed a 1-yard touchdown run, giving his team an 18-12 advantage with 7 minutes and 33 seconds on the clock. But the Southeast Pirates wouldn’t back down. Case Myers orchestrated a stunning 19-yard touchdown run, leveling the score at 18-18 with 5 minutes and 29 seconds to go in the third quarter.

The Southeast Pirates grabbed the lead in the fourth quarter, as Antonio Mejia powered his way to a 2-yard touchdown run. With 2 minutes and 21 seconds left, Southeast led 25-18.

However, the game wasn’t over. In a dramatic final attempt, Warren JFK’s Fred Bolchalk connected with Marcus Komora for a 10-yard touchdown pass as time expired. The Eagles had a chance to tie the game with a two-point conversion but missed it, leaving the score at 25-24 in favor of the Southeast Pirates.

It was a hard-fought victory for the Southeast Pirates, who managed to hold on to their slim lead and secure a thrilling 25-24 win over the Warren JFK Eagles in a game that will be remembered for its intense moments and last-second drama.
