South Range’s two pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as the Raiders defeated McKinley 21-0 on Tuesday. Juli Stachowicz struck out Alaina Erwin to get the last out of the game.

South Range secured the victory thanks to 12 runs in the second inning. Kelly Szolek, Jamie Feren, Hannah Crouse, Taylor Smesko, Samantha Susany, and Stachowicz each had RBIs in the big inning.

South Range got things started in the first inning when Bree Kohler homered on a 1-0 count, scoring three runs.

The Raiders put up 12 runs in the second inning. South Range Raiders Varsity put the pressure on, lead by singles by Szolek, Feren, Crouse, Stachowicz, and Alexis Angus, doubles by Smesko and Alyssa McElroy, and a fielder’s choice by Susany.

Stachowicz was the winning pitcher for South Range. The pitcher went three innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out eight.

Isabella Roxford toed the rubber for McKinley. The bulldog lasted four innings, allowing 20 hits and 21 runs while striking out one.

Kohler started the game for South Range. The righthander lasted two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out five and walking zero

South Range launched one home run on the day. Kohler went for the long ball in the first inning.

The Raiders collected 20 hits on the day. Susany, Reagan Irons, Kohler, Feren, Stachowicz, and Szolek all collected multiple hits for South Range Raiders Varsity. Szolek, Stachowicz, Feren, Kohler, Irons, and Susany each managed two hits.
