ROCKETS SECURE WINNING SEASON IN THRILLER WITH HEARTLAND

COLUMBIANA OH- A winning season was on the line for Lowellville on Thursday night as they ventured into the Lion’s den in Heartland with a 10-10 record. It took everything they had, but the Rockets were able to earn a winning record with a thrilling 5 set win over Heartland. (25-22 23-25 16-25 25-23 18-16)

Leading the Rockets was Sammie Kelly who finished with 11 kills, 7 digs, and 30 assists. Sydney Price had a team high 8 kills on the night. Sammie Moore led the Rockets back row with an impressive 27 digs. Lowellville had 8 blocks as a team from 4 different players. Mia Mangine had 3 of them, Aryana Romano tacked on another 3. Savannah Procik and Haley Cutter both added 1.

The Rockets will open tournament play on October 19th against Windham. That game will be at Wellsville high school and is scheduled to start at 7:30. Heartland open their tournament run on October 19th as well as they’ll play Warren JFK at Brookfield.
