WARRIORS STILL HUMMING ALONG

BELOIT OH- West Branch v finally got back on the field on Saturday and  bested Lakeview 4-0. West Branch  opened the scoring in the bottom of the third thanks to two singles. They first got on the board when Aaron Tucker singled, scoring one run.

Tucker earned the win for West Branch. He gave up three hits and zero runs over four and one-third innings, striking out six and walking two. Jacob Shaker took the loss for the Bulldogs. The starting pitcher went three innings, allowing two runs on six hits, striking out one and walking none. Beau Alazaus and Gavin Bell each threw scoreless innings for the Warriors in relief.

West Branch tallied 10 hits in the game. Alazaus and Charlie Biskup each collected two hits. Hunter Shields, Tucker, Bell, and Anthony Perry each drove in one run. The Warriors were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Shields had the most chances in the field with 10.

Jake Nicholas, Nathan Paolucci, and Carter Doran each collected one hit for Lakeview. Their defense turned one double play in the game.
