SALEM SNEAKS AWAY WITH SEASON SPLIT

BELOIT OH- Salem got sweet revenge on their rival West Branch in a nail-biting 9-8 victory, splitting the season series.

Carson Rhodes was the star of the show for Salem, going a perfect 4 for 4 at the plate with 3 RBI and scoring twice. Lance Bailey also had a big game, contributing 3 hits, 2 RBI, and a run scored. Colin Riesen added an RBI to the mix.

On the mound, Bailey battled through 5 innings, allowing 8 runs on 10 hits while striking out 4. Riesen came in relief, pitching 2 solid innings with no hits or runs allowed and striking out 2.

West Branch put up a strong fight, with Aaron Tucker leading the offense with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Beau Alazaus and Hunter Shields each added 2 hits and an RBI, with Shields scoring twice.
