EAST PALESTINE, OH- A new year with the same expectations on and off the court: win.

Third year Bulldog Coach, Bill Stanton, talks about the new-look Bulldogs and how the shift of personnel can shift the mindset on the court as well. The Bulldogs look to bounce back from a 3-20 season in 2019 to be once again take their throne atop the area.

Coach Stanton sat down with our DJ Yokley to rev the engine on EP Hoops, and talk about the challenges surrounding the 2020 season including getting the season started.

The Bulldogs are well aware of the challenges they face in 2019-2020, but embrace them and are willing to fight through in order to establish a new culture in EP!

We caught up with Coach Stanton for a bit of a recap, and a look forward to what his Bulldogs face moving forward!

It’s a new year on the hardwood on YSN, and we now enter our second year of Coach’s Corner with Bill Stanton at the helm in East Palestine.

After an 8-15 season in his inaugural campaign, Coach Stanton looks to dial up a little more heat and expectations this year.  Although his troops are young, he’s searching for leaders to head the program for the years to come.

We caught up with Coach to discuss the upcoming season, as well as the first-ever Vaughn Brunson Classic that tips off the unofficial start of the year for the Bulldogs this year against the likes of Columbiana, Struthers, and Poland in the BulldogDome.

There’s a new lead dog in Bulldog Country this year.  East Palestine hired on Bill Stanton to help revive the winning tradition in East Palestine for basketball.  Stanton has come from other storied programs such as Boardman, Poland, Struthers, and EOAC Rival- Lisbon.

Now with the reigns on one of the most up and coming programs in the region, Stanton looks to secure a foundation of winning this year that will pay dividends for seasons to come.
