REBELS CONTAIN THE RED DEVILS

COLUMBIANA, OH – The atmosphere was electric at Crestview High School as the Rebels prepared to take on the Campbell Memorial Red Devils on their home turf. It was a crisp autumn evening, perfect for football, and the fans were eager to witness what promised to be an exhilarating matchup.

The game kicked off with a burst of energy when Crestview’s Jameson English bulldozed his way into the end zone with a powerful 3-yard touchdown run. The Rebels struck first, taking a 6-0 lead with just 52 seconds left in the opening quarter.

However, the Red Devils were not to be outdone. Malik Young, a talented running back for Campbell Memorial, answered with a 7-yard touchdown run, evening the score at 6-6 with 4:49 left in the second quarter. The momentum, however, quickly swung back in Crestview’s favor. Jameson English, showcasing his agility and speed, broke free for a stunning 27-yard touchdown run, propelling the Rebels to a 13-6 lead with 3:18 left in the second quarter. But the Rebels were not content with just offensive prowess. Max Hawkins, a defensive standout, made a game-changing play by intercepting a pass and returning it an astonishing 55 yards for a pick-six. The scoreboard now showed 20-6 in favor of Crestview with 1:23 remaining in the first half.

Crestview’s defense continued to shine in the third quarter. Mikey Proctor, another defensive star, intercepted a pass and followed in Hawkins’ footsteps with a remarkable 48-yard pick-six. The Rebels extended their lead to 27-6 with 6:52 left in the third.  Crestview wasn’t done there. Joey Carr, the team’s reliable kicker, added to the Red Devils’ woes with a perfectly executed 27-yard field goal, pushing the score to 37-6 with 8:28 left in the third quarter.

Campbell Memorial fought back with determination, and Malik Young made a statement with a thrilling 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. However, the two-point conversion attempt failed, leaving the score at 37-12 with 8:18 remaining in the game. The Rebels, showing no signs of letting up, continued to dominate. Jameson English found the end zone once again with a 22-yard run, putting Crestview ahead 44-12 with 4:32 left in the game. The Red Devils didn’t go down without a fight. Malik Young displayed his incredible speed and agility once more, breaking free for a breathtaking 74-yard touchdown run, bringing the final score to 44-20.

As the final whistle blew, the Crestview Rebels and their fans celebrated a well-deserved victory. Their impressive performance, both on offense and defense, had secured them a decisive win over the Campbell Memorial Red Devils. It was a game filled with big plays, excitement, and unforgettable moments that would be talked about for years to come.

RED DEVILS STARS SHINE BRIGHT

CAMPBELL, OH – The Campbell Memorial Red Devil football team is led by a terrific offense with star studded talent all over the field. One electric player is wide receiver, David Moore He is a force to be reckoned with as his natural athleticism and exceptional speed have set him apart. His journey with the Red Devils has been marked by unforgettable catches, game-changing touchdowns, and a remarkable ability to read the field. Beyond his outstanding on-field contributions, David’s commitment to his teammates and his unwavering work ethic have made him a natural leader both on and off the field. Another key member of this talented Red Devils squad is offensive line, Cayden Thomas. Cayden is a vital presence for the Campbell Memorial Red Devils, with a strong work ethic and unmatched determination, Cayden plays a crucial role in protecting the team’s quarterback and opening up running lanes for the backfield. His relentless pursuit of excellence in the trenches has earned him respect among coaches and teammates alike. Cayden’s leadership extends beyond the field as he sets an example of dedication and perseverance that inspires his fellow players. Together, David Moore and Cayden Thomas bring their unique talents and unwavering commitment to the Red Devil football team, embodying the spirit of teamwork that defines their program.

CAMPBELL MEMORIAL RED DEVILS FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP. 5) WITH ANDREW KING

CAMPBELL, OH – The Campbell Memorial Red Devils (1-3) are coming off a heartbreaking loss in week four to the Newton Falls Tigers. Head coach Andrew Kinng and the Red Devils fought hard but fell just short. This week they are looking to rebound and take care of business the Red Devil way. Up next for Campbell Memorial will be a challenging road test against MVAC foe, the Crestview Rebels (0-4).

CAMPBELL CHEER CAPTIVATES THE COMMUNITY

CAMPBELL, OH – Autumn Shuger and Kendall Brunn, two dynamic and spirited members of the Campbell Memorial Lady Red Devil cheerleading squad, have left an indelible mark on their school’s cheerleading program. Autumn, with her boundless energy and infectious enthusiasm, has been a driving force behind the team’s energy each week. From her very first day as a Lady Red Devil cheerleader, Autumn displayed an unwavering commitment to excellence. Her dedication to perfecting every routine has inspired her fellow teammates. Kendall Brunn, the other half of this dynamic duo, complements Autumn’s excitement with her calm and composed demeanor. Kendall’s journey as a Lady Red Devil cheerleader has been marked by her exceptional precision and attention to detail. Autumn and Kendall’s charisma and unwavering positivity have made them beloved figures within the school and community. Together, they embody the spirit of teamwork, resilience, and passion, setting the bar high for this year’s squad.

CAMPBELL MEMORIAL LADY RED DEVILS VOLLEYBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP. 2) WITH TYLER ALLEN

CAMPBELL, OH – Head coach Tyler Allen and the Campbell Memorial Lady Red Devils volleyball team are one of the local teams that are on fire so far this season! The Lady Red Devils are currently 7-3 this year and although they fell to LaBrae (8-0) in their last match, they have been playing very solid volleyball. Up next for Campbell Memorial is a home MVAC contest as they will play host to the Liberty Leopards (5-4) on Thursday night.

CAMPBELL, OH – The Campbell Memorial Lady Red Devils volleyball team has a duo that is unlike anyone else in the area as Jayda Coriano and Gabriela Villanueva Santos have consistently exemplified excellence on the court. Jayda, with her remarkable athleticism and unwavering determination, has been a driving force behind the team’s success. Gabriela, Jayda’s partner in the team’s success, possesses a unique ability to read the game and deliver precise plays that consistently put her teammates in scoring positions and helps this team win. Together, Jayda Coriano and Gabriela Villanueva Santos form an unstoppable combination, embodying the values of teamwork, dedication, and sportsmanship that define the Campbell Memorial Lady Red Devil volleyball program.

LATE SURGE PROPELLS THE TIGERS

CAMPBELL, OH – In an action-packed football clash between Newton Falls and Campbell Memorial, fans were treated to a rollercoaster of a game that left them on the edge of their seats. The first quarter saw a moment of pure brilliance as Newton Falls’ Caden Short electrified the crowd with an 80-yard touchdown return on the opening kickoff, followed by a flawless PAT by Nick Lampman. The energy was electric.

The second quarter was equally intense, with Campbell Memorial mounting a comeback. Kevin Timlin bulldozed his way through the defense for an 8-yard touchdown run, securing a PAT that kept the scoreboard even. The momentum swung in Campbell Memorial’s favor when Adyn Vazquez intercepted a pass and sprinted 17 yards to the end zone, with another successful PAT.

Not to be outdone, Newton Falls retaliated with Gage Phares’ 2-yard touchdown run, complemented by Lampman’s reliable PAT. The teams went into halftime with the game tied, leaving the spectators craving more action.

The third quarter opened with Campbell Memorial’s Mike Mesaros snatching a 13-yard touchdown reception, maintaining their lead. However, Newton Falls wasn’t about to back down. Jesse Chitwood’s stunning 35-yard touchdown reception, accompanied by Lampman’s PAT, swung the momentum back to their side.

As the clock ticked down in the fourth quarter, Newton Falls unleashed a barrage of touchdowns. Carter Rapczak powered through for a 3-yard touchdown run, followed by a perfectly executed PAT. But Campbell Memorial answered back with a 50-yard touchdown reception by Mike Mesaros, setting the stage for a thrilling finish.

The visiting team, Newton Falls, sealed the deal with two more touchdowns: Gage Phares’ 4-yard run and Caden Short’s remarkable 45-yard dash to the end zone. To cap off the electrifying game, Zander Miller intercepted a pass and sprinted 13 yards for another touchdown. Lampman’s consistent PATs ensured a triumphant victory for Newton Falls, leaving the final score at Newton Falls 49, Campbell Memorial 28. The fans were treated to an unforgettable display of athleticism and sportsmanship in this high-scoring battle on the gridiron.

FRESHMEN PHENOMS

CAMPBELL, OH – The Campbell Memorial Lady Red Devils volleyball team is off to a 5-2 record so far this season and are also currently on a two game winning streak following big wins over Garrettsville Garfield and Champion.  Not only are they off to a hot start, all of the girls have been improving each day and are holding each other accountable to strive for even more success as the season wears on. The special part of this team is that it is not only led by upperclassmen, the freshmen class is contributing and competing at a high level and helping this team strive for success on a nightly basis as well. Two of the young freshmen leaders on this team are DaJanelle Will and Elysia Rudolphi. These two young ladies have been dominating on the court this year and are letting their play speak for itself.

CAMPBELL MEMORIAL CHEER BRINGS THE EXCITEMENT

CAMPBELL, OH – The Campbell Memorial Red Devils cheer squad takes pride in themselves always being able to get the crowd going on Friday nights during the football games. The squad has multiple cheers that are fan favorites where everyone gets involved and makes the atmosphere very tough for opposing teams to play in. Two of the young ladies that are always out there making noise and bringing the energy are Angelis Espada and Ramani Adams.

MEMORIAL’S BULLDOZING BACKS

CAMPBELL, OH – Coming off a tough game against a cross tier foe is always tough to do but where there are challenges, that is where leaders are born. From those tough situations, two men have stepped up to face them and are creating names for themselves on the field while commanding the respect of their teammates and oppositions alike. Those leaders are senior fullback and defensive edge, Brandon Applegate, as well as, senior running back and linebacker, Mike Mesaros. Not only do Brandon and Mike lead by example on the football field by making big plays when the Red Devils need them to; they also have the vocal abilities to get the team focused and motivated every single snap to get the most out of the team on every possession.
