KENDALL KEEPS HER EYES ON THE PRIZE

With so much happening in Beaver Local, it’s hard to keep an eye on the stellar start they’ve had to their season.  Before Tuesday Night, the Lady Beavers came in with a 5-1 mark overall heading into the much-anticipated rivalry game with East Liverpool.

One of the mainstays on this Lady Beaver team has been Senior Madison Kendall.

The voice of the Beavers, Michael McKenzie sat down with Kendall prior to the Potter game and talks about nerves, tradition, and how they continue to rally around their missing teammate.

This week’s Player profile for Beaver Local is Madison Kendall: KENDALL KEEPS HER EYES ON THE PRIZE

BEAVER LOCAL VOLLEYBALL COACH’S CORNER WITH SARAH LOWE (EP 1)

There’s nothing better than a rivalry game.  Except- of course, when it’s THE RIVALRY GAME.

Last night East Liverpool and Beaver Local locked horns in the Beaverdome and renewed the rivalry in a match that while the Lady Potters ultimately took the victory, Beaver Local looked outstanding as well.

This matchup is one that is so even- it’s as if each team is looking in the mirror.

Our Michael McKenzie caught up with Beaver Local Head Coach Sarah Lowe prior to the game last night to discuss the rivalry, mentality, and overall strategy for the Lady Beavers in 2018.

Here is Beaver Local Volleyball Coach’s Corner with Sarah Lowe (EP 1):

GOTTA GO WITH NIKO

It’s common knowledge that when High School football players talk to coaching staffs, they profess their love for either offense, or defense.  Typically it will show on Friday nights as well, because the player will shine on one side of the ball.

For Salem Junior Niko Walter, he extinguished the East Palestine offense in Week 1 with two interceptions, as well as kept the Bulldog defense guessing with 2 carries out of the backfield for 15 yards, 4 catches for 92 yards and a TD…..Oh, and he threw for a score as well.

All in a day’s work for Niko.

Our Jarrod Niederheiser sat down with the Salem Standout for this week’s Player Profile: GOTTA GO WITH NIKO

SALEM FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER WITH RON JOHNSON (EP 1)

Coming off a big win in East Palestine last week, Salem Head Coach Ron Johnson has his team’s fire stoked and ready for United in Week 2.

Our Jarrod Niederheiser caught up with Ron-John to discuss the weight of a win in week one, and the mentality of the Quakers moving forward.

All that and MORE on Salem Coach’s Corner with Ron Johnson!

UNITED LOCAL COACH’S CORNER WITH DJ OGILVIE

DJ Ogilvie is back in the Valley, and is looking to get his Golden Eagles flying high once again.  The Eagles take on a formidable foe this week with Salem coming to town fresh off a big win against EOAC favorite, East Palestine.

Our Matt Mowery sits down with the new leader in United and discusses the mentality in Hanoverton in 2018.

All that and more with United Coach’s Corner with DJ Ogilvie.

CRESTVIEW’S PERRY IS SCARY (GOOD)

The age-old question always comes into play when you’re discussing team sports against individual sports: Can a student-athlete do both?  Can they do them both WELL?

Usually, the answer is a resounding no, however, when you’re discussing Crestview’s Dominic Perry-it’s quite the opposite.

Perry not only is an Ohio State Champion in his own regard but doubles as a 4-year starter for Coach Cusick on the Rebel Football Team.  Not only that, but Dom is leaned on, and considered to be the heartbeat of the team amongst his teammates.

Our Dimitri Gregory caught up with Dom before this week’s Struthers game for our First Episode of Crestview Player Profile: CRESTVIEW’S PERRY IS SCARY (GOOD)
