WHITING WASHES OUT KNIGHTLINE

STRUTHERS OH- Whiting Roll-Offs used early offense to help them establish a sizable lead on Knightline. Some late insurance runs kept Knightline at bay and Whiting came away with a 8-3.

Chase Tomko went 1-2 for Whiting with a walk and 3 RBI. Tyler Kamerer went 2-4 with 2 runs scored and a RBI.

For Knightline, Brett Bobin went 1-3 with a run scored and a RBI. Vince Sciortino went 2-3 with a run scored.

Jake Vitale got the win on the rubber for Whiting. He went 6 innings and gave up 3 runs on 4 hits. He struck out 5.

CREEKSIDE NIXES KNIGHTLINE

STRUTHERS OH- Creekside was in a class of their own on Friday in a 9-0 win over Knightline. Creekside jumped ahead early with three in the 1st. After a couple of one run innings they scored four in the 6th.

Anthony Sherwin went 1-3 for Creekside with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Grant Voytovich went 1-3 with a walk, a run scored, and 2 RBI.

For Knightline, Brett Bobin went 1-1 with 2 walks. Joe Roth went 1-2.

Nic Rispoli got the win on the mound for Creekside. He went 5 innings and gave up 0 runs on 1 hit. He struck out 9.

 

KNIGHTLINE BURNS OUT BALLISTIC

STRUTHERS OH- Knightline scores early to take a lead with 2 runs in the top of the first inning on Thursday. Their pitching did the rest of the work as they held the Ballistic offense in check the rest of the game. They added another 3 runs for good measure in the 7th.

Nathan Meeks went 4-5 on the day with a RBI for Knightline. Brett Bobin went 1-4 with 2 RBI, and 2 runs scored.

Matt Dubois went 1-2 for Ballistic. Tanner Egli went 1-3.

Bobin was masterful on the mound for Knightline. He went 7 innings giving up 0 runs on just 2 hits. He struck out 8.

KNIGHTLINE WINS PITCHER’S DUEL

STRUTHERS OH- Offense was hard to come by on Wednesday night between Knightline and Ballistic Baseball. The two teams combined for 3 hits. Knightline was able to scratch across two runs in the final two innings to give themselves enough room to win 3-0.

Gavin Mauger went 1-1 for Knightline with a run scored. Mikey Scortino went 1-3.

For Ballistic Dalton Curron got the team’s only hit going 1-3. JR Prossen walked.

Jake Corll got the win on the mound for Knightline. He pitched 4 innings giving up 0 runs on only 1 hit. He struck out 5.

Marc Conti pitched well in the loss for Ballistic. He went 5 innings and gave up 0 earned runs on 1 hit and struck out 4.

KNIGHTLINE BLANKS AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS OH- Knightline was all over the Avalanche on Sunday shutting them out 6-0. It was a straight up pitcher’s duel until Knightline shocked the Avalanche with six runs in the top of the 7th inning.

Vince Scortino went 1-2 for a Knightline with 2 RBI. Mason McCurdy went 1-1 with a RBI and a walk. He also scored a run.

On a tough day for the Avalanche offense Derek Franken went 1-2. Mikial Torres also went 1-2 on the day.

Brett Bobin went the distance for Knightline. He gave up 0 runs on 2 hits and struck out 7.

Marshal Weinberg pitched well for Avalanche going 3 innings, giving up no runs on 3 hits. He struck out 4.

KNIGHTLINE’S WINNING SUNDAY CONTINUES AGAINST CREEKSIDE

STRUTHERS OH- Fresh off a win over Roth Brothers, Knightline blew out Creekside 11-2. Knightline scored 4 in the first inning, and then put up a big seven runs in the 5th.

Gavin Shrum led the offensive onslaught for Knightline going 2-3 with 2 RBI. He also scored 2 runs. Tyler Capan also had 2 RBI going 1-3. Dru Deshields went 2-3 with a run scored.

David Posey had the only RBIs for Creekside going 1-2. Jack Desmond also went 1-2.

Gavin Shrum got the win for Knightline going 4 innings, giving up 3 hits, and 2 runs. He struck out 4.

KNIGHTLINE TAKES HOME WIN OVER ROTH BROTHERS

STRUTHERS OH- Knightline pitchers were able to keep Roth Brothers in check on Sunday as they took home a Father’s Day win 5-2. Knightline’s big inning came in the 3rd when they scored three runs.

Mikey Sciortino had a good day at the plate going 1-2 with a walk and a RBI. He also scored two runs. Anthony Butto went 1-1 with a RBI, he walked twice.

Alec Gryzb went 2-2 for Roth Brothers with a RBI and a run scored. Sam Campbell went 1-1 with a RBI.

Guy Young got the win for Knightline. He threw six innings and gave up 2 runs on 8 hits and struck out 7.

 

ROTH BROTHERS OVERCOME SLOW START

STRUTHERS OH- The Roth Brothers started slowly on Saturday but were able to find some late power to beat Knightline 8-2. Knightline led 2-0 after 2 innings and 2-1 after 4, but the Roth Brothers blew up for 7 runs in the bottom of the 5th to run away from Knightline.

Eli Snider was the only hitter in the Roth Brothers lineup to have multiple hits. He went 2-3 with 4 RBI. Ethan Shaw went 1-2 with 2 RBI.

Branson Carson went 1-2 for Knightline with a RBI. Nathan Meeks went 1-3 with a RBI.

Cam Hollobaugh got the win on the mound for Roth Brothers. He went 5 innings gave up 0 runs on 5 hits and struck out 7.

 

CORLL DAZZLES IN KNIGHTLINE VICTORY

STRUTHERS OH- Jake Corll was dominant in Knightline’s Friday night win over Dura Edge. In what was a pitching duel for most of the game turned into a large 5-0 victory for Knightline as they scored 5 runs in the 6th inning.

Mikey Sciortino has a good day at the plate for Knightline going 2-3 with 2 RBI. Jake Kling also went 2-3.

Karter Weitzel was one of the only batter to find consistent success for Dura Edge going 2-2

Corll went 6 innings, giving up 0 runs on 5 hits and striking out 9. He threw 90 pitches.

Josh Reed threw well for Dura Edge, none of the 4 runs that scored while he was on the mound were earned. He gave up 6 hits and struck out 5.

KNIGHTLINE’S LATE SURGE HOLDS OFF AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS OH- Knightline used a 2 run top of the 7th to hold off Avalanche in a competitive 16u game to open their Class B season.

Gavin Shrum had a great day at the plate for Knightline going 2-3 with 3 RBI. Mikey Sciortino also has a 2 hit game.

Ethan Mannion has the lone RBI for the Avalanche going 1-1.

Jake Corll got the win on the mound for Knightline only giving up 4 hits and striking out 9.

Tim West pitched well for the Avalanche giving up just 1 ER in his 3 innings pitched.
