YOUNGSTOWN, OH- The Cardinal Mooney Girls Lacrosse Team improved to 3-2 on the season after defeating West Geauga 11-9 on Wednesday.
Angelina Rotunno had 8 goals, 1 assist, and 9 draw controls. Ella Szalay had 1 goal and 3 assists. Addison Stacy and Diara Yelverton each added a goal. Alyssa Ray had 14 saves in goal.
Mooney will host Laurel Shaker Heights Thursday at 6pm.

YOUNGSTOWN, OH- The Cardinal Mooney girls lacrosse team begins season 1-0 with a victory over Southeast by the final of 12-1.
Ella Szalay led the team with 5 goals and 2 assists. Addison Stacy had 4 goals, while Angelina Rotunno had 2 goals, 2 assists, and 5 draw controls. Diara Yelverton added a goal and Maria Pecchia led the defense with 4 ground balls. Alyssa Ray had 7 saves in goal.
Mooney will host Boardman Monday night at 6pm.

YOUNGSTOWN, OH- Cardinal Mooney Senior Annie Daprile led the way with a 5-pack of goals and an assist on her way to lifting her Lady Cardinals over Poland 18-5 Friday evening.
Also contributing to the victory was freshman Ella Szalay who chipped in four goals, three helpers, two interceptions, and five draw controls. Ava Szalay led the way defensively with nine ground balls, while Sophia Graziano was a wall with 13 saves in goal.
Sophia Sdregas and Anna Wollet had 3 goals apiece, while Angelia Rotunno scored a pair, and Taylor Creighton had one.
Mooney will return to action 3/24 against Glenoak at home.
