MOOK’S FINAL CHAPTER

CANFIELD OH- In the sport of volleyball, versatility is a prized attribute, and senior standout Madie Mook of the South Range Raiders embodies this quality like no other. Over the course of her career, she has seamlessly transitioned between various roles on the team, from a dependable defender in the back row to a formidable right-side hitter. This year, she’s shining as a premier threat from the outside, showcasing her adaptability and commitment to being a true team player.

Madie’s dedication and hard work are paying off in the 2023 season, as she enjoys the best statistical performance of her high school career. Her ability to contribute significantly to her team’s offensive firepower is a testament to her growth and development as a player.

However, it’s not just her attacking prowess that sets Madie apart; her serving game is equally lethal. Over the course of her career, she has tallied an impressive 112 aces and counting. Raiders’ head coach TJ Irons has dubbed her the team’s most aggressive server, high praise in a squad full of players who thrive on taking calculated chances from the service line. Her ability to keep opponents off balance with her powerful serves adds an invaluable dimension to the Raiders’ game.

As Madie continues to shine individually, her primary focus remains on elevating her team’s performance. She is part of a senior class determined to put South Range volleyball back on the map. Currently boasting a record of 10-4 on the year, they are hungry for success and are just four wins away from surpassing last season’s total of 13 victories.
