LOUISVILLE OH- In a highly anticipated chance at redemption for the district championship, Canfield seized their opportunity for redemption and emerged victorious over Glenville with a resounding 64-51 win, securing the coveted district crown they had been craving all season. After falling short in the championship game a year ago, the Cardinals were determined to make amends and etch their names in the annals of Canfield basketball history.

Leading the charge for Canfield was Drew Shapiro, whose stellar performance saw him contribute 13 points, providing a steady presence on both ends of the court. Landon Shina added 11 points to the scoreboard, while Ben Weaver, Tony Russo, and Jake Delisio each chipped in with 9 points, highlighting the Cardinals’ balanced scoring attack.

With this hard-fought victory, Canfield punches their ticket to the Regional Semifinals, where they are set to face off against Warrensville Heights.
