TIGERS CLAW INTO THE NEXT ROUND

NEWTON FALLS OH- Newton Falls powered their way into the next round of the tournament on Monday with a commanding 12-2 run-rule victory over Warren JFK. With this win, they advance to the sectional finals where they’ll travel to Chalker on Wednesday.

Newton Falls wasted no time asserting their dominance, exploding for runs early in the game. Kylee Lance led the offensive charge, going 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs to pace the team’s offense. Abby Wolford also contributed with 2 RBIs, while Madelyn Knight added another 2 RBIs to the scoreboard. Ella Downing reached base with a hit and a walk, scoring a run for Newton Falls.

I’m the circle, Kylee Lance was lights out, pitching a complete game gem. She allowed just 1 earned run on 5 hits over 6 innings, while striking out an impressive 10 batters to stifle the Warren JFK offense.

Warren JFK managed to get on the board with runs from Samiya Currie and Jasmine Ridley, but it wasn’t enough to keep up with Newton Falls’ offensive onslaught. Hannah Myers also had a strong showing at the plate, tallying 2 hits.
