In an intense volleyball showdown, Springfield emerged victorious after a thrilling 5-set battle against Cardinal Mooney. The scores told the tale: 21-25, 25-21, 15-25, 25-17, and a nail-biting 19-17 in the final set.

Springfield’s Jameka Brungard stood out as a force to be reckoned with, amassing an impressive 20 kills that kept her team in the game. Baelyn Brungard’s 15 kills and 17 digs showcased her all-around skills, securing a double-double performance. Baelyn also made her presence felt at the service line, contributing 5 aces to her team’s efforts. Mariah Jones added to the attack with 10 kills and 5 digs, while Karigan Mullen orchestrated the offense brilliantly with 41 assists.

On the Mooney side, Brinkley Bair led the charge with 9 kills, while Jaida Lane and Amara Anderson contributed 7 and 6 kills respectively. Natalie Blasko orchestrated the team’s plays with 25 assists, and her serves proved to be potent, garnering 5 aces. Defensively, Maria Pecchia recorded an impressive 13 digs and added 5 aces to her repertoire, while Katie Frommelt tallied 11 digs to keep the ball in play.
