TIGERS POUNCE ON RAVENNA

Howland defeated Ravenna 20-0 on Wednesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Brooke Tatar struck out Mckayla Lawson to finish off the game.

Cloe Lopez led Howland to victory by driving in four runs. Lopez went 3-for-4 at the plate. Lopez drove in runs on a single in the first and a home run in the second.

The Tigers got on the board in the first inning. Zoe King drove in one when King singled.

Howland scored seven runs in the second inning. The offensive firepower by was led by Tatar, Alexia Spangler, Madison Hufford, Raegan Cool, Lopez, and Alyssa Massucci, all driving in runs in the inning.

A single by Amellia Fuller in the third inning was a positive for Ravenna.

Spangler took the win for the Tigers. The righty surrendered zero runs on one hit over three innings, striking out three and walking zero. Tatar threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Alyssa Orona took the loss for Ravenna. The pitcher surrendered 20 runs on 13 hits over four innings, striking out one.

Howland tallied three home runs on the day. Lopez went for the long ball in the second inning. Massucci went yard in the second inning. Tatar had a long ball in the second inning.

The Tigers totaled 14 hits in the game. Lopez, Tatar, and Spangler each racked up multiple hits for Howland Tigers. Lopez went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Howland Tigers in hits. Howland Tigers was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Kayla Campbell made the most plays with five.

Fuller led Ravenna with one hit in two at bats.
