UNITED CREATES LOG JAM ATOP THE EOAC

COLUMBIANA OH- In a showdown that shook up the standings, United soared into Columbiana on Monday, causing a three-way tie for first place in the EOAC with a hard-fought 39-35 victory over the Clippers. The Eagles secured a crucial win, having previously beaten Columbiana earlier in the season.

Grace Knight led the charge for United with a stellar 12-point performance, closely followed by Addy Blazer, who contributed 10 points, and Sam Lippiatt with 9 points. The trio’s collective effort proved instrumental in securing the Eagles’ victory.

Columbiana fought tenaciously, with Averi Marshall leading their offensive charge with an impressive 13 points, while Ava Heinrich added 11 points. Despite their efforts, the Clippers fell short in a closely contested battle.

With this victory, United (13-6) now finds itself in the midst of a three-way tie for first place in the EOAC. The Eagles will look to build on this momentum as they return home on Wednesday to face Maplewood. On the other side, Columbiana (15-3) aims to bounce back on Thursday with a road matchup against Leetonia. As the regular season unfolds, the EOAC race has become even more intense, with each game carrying significant implications for the standings.
