Edgewood, OH- In a commanding performance, the Edgewood Warriors showcased their dominance against the Grand Valley Mustangs, securing an overwhelming 55-0 victory.

The first quarter set the tone for the game, as Edgewood’s Tony Hall took charge with a 2-yard touchdown run, swiftly followed by a successful 2-point conversion. This early success gave Edgewood an 8-0 lead. Later in the quarter, with just 8 seconds on the clock, Hall connected with Jacon Ernst for an impressive 54-yard touchdown pass. The subsequent 2-point conversion extended Edgewood’s lead to 16-0 by the end of the opening quarter.

The second quarter saw no letup from Edgewood’s offensive onslaught. Hall continued to excel, tossing a 40-yard touchdown pass to Zach Carlton-Hull, who combined with the team for another successful 2-point conversion, bringing the score to 24-0. The connection between Hall and Carlton-Hull remained potent, as they orchestrated a 41-yard touchdown pass, followed by yet another successful 2-point conversion, pushing the lead to 32-0. Edgewood’s Zeke Lucas then joined the scoring frenzy with an 18-yard touchdown run, combined with a 2-point conversion, extending the gap to a staggering 40-0. The domination persisted as Lucas capitalized on a fumble recovery, sprinting 80 yards for another touchdown. The 2-point conversion was executed seamlessly, resulting in an impressive 48-0 halftime lead for Edgewood.

Despite the gap, the Edgewood Warriors refused to ease off the gas pedal. In the fourth quarter, Jaiven Pope plunged through the defense for a 7-yard touchdown run. The extra point was successfully converted, sealing the score at 55-0 and capping off a relentless offensive display.

The victory marked the second consecutive week in which the Edgewood Warriors crossed the 50-point mark, solidifying their reputation as an offensive powerhouse. With the win, the Edgewood Warriors improved to an impressive 2-0 record, setting their sights on a clash with the Harvey Red Raiders (0-2) in week 3. On the other side, the Grand Valley Mustangs (0-2) faced a challenging path ahead, looking to rebound as they prepared to take on the Pymatuning Valley Lakers (1-1) in week 3.
