WEST BRANCH SWEEPS TRI MATCH AT HOME

BELOIT OH- The Warriors volleyball team hosted South Range and Southeast in a tri match at West Branch High School to open the season.  The Warriors defeated the Pirates from Southeast 25-20, 25-4 followed by a 25-21, 25-13 victory over South Range to move to 2-0 on the season.

In game one against Southeast, the Warriors were led by Kendelle Hoopes with 12 points and Isabel Martig with eight points.  Martig also added 10 assists.  Mikalyn Fitts had nine kills and Audrey Ring finished with five kills.  Ragan Greeneisen was the defensive and receive leader.

In game two versus South Range, Martig again had a strong game with eight points and seven assists.  Fitts and Olivia Showalter each had five kills for the winners.  Greeneisen led the defensive and was receiving leader.

The Warriors next match will be Thursday, August 24th as the Boardman Spartans come to town.
