ADAMS GIVES STRUTHERS A LAST MINUTE WIN

CANFIELD OH- In a nail-biting clash on the hardwood, the Struthers Wildcats secured their second win of the season in a close encounter against the Garrettsville-Garfield Lady G-Men, prevailing with a final score of 33-32.
The first quarter saw the Lady G-Men take an early lead, finishing with a 9-6 advantage over the Wildcats. The second quarter proved evenly matched, with both teams adding 10 points to their tally. As halftime arrived, Garrettsville-Garfield maintained a slim lead at 19-16.

The game’s intensity heightened in the third quarter as Struthers clawed back to take a narrow 27-26 lead heading into the final stretch. The fourth quarter saw both teams battling fiercely, each putting up 6 points. In the end, Struthers held on for the victory with a final score of 33-32.

Emma Morris emerged as the standout for Struthers, earning the Player of the Game honors with a team-high 16 points, including four shots from beyond the arc. Natalie Adams made crucial contributions, scoring 9 points, including the shot that put Struthers ahead for good, and grabbing 3 rebounds. Gianna Martin added 4 points and an impressive 12 rebounds to the Wildcats’ effort.

On the Garrettsville-Garfield side, Mandy Cardinal delivered a stellar performance with a game-high 19 points and 9 rebounds. Kaelyn Tasker contributed 4 points and 4 rebounds in a hard-fought contest.
With the win, Struthers improved to a 2-7 record and is set to host the Niles Red Dragons (4-5) on Thursday, January 4th. Meanwhile, Garrettsville-Garfield, now standing at 1-7, will face
