BADGER HOOPS GIVE BACK IS A SLAM DUNK

KINSMAN, OH- When COVID-19 began, the entire country learned very quickly one thing over everything else.

Our teachers were severely underappreciated, and although they make their job look incredibly easy; it’s anything but.

Enter February 2022, nearly two years after the world learned about Covid, and students and athletes have decided to show their appreciation in schools to teachers by writings stories and sharing their jerseys with teachers and role models who have positively impacted their lives to be able to do the things they love the most.

The song is no different for the Badger Braves Boys Basketball Team.  The Senior boys were tasked by their Head Coach, Josh Upshire to present their jersey and accompany it with a reason as to why each teacher had been chosen to wear the jersey for the school day.

The honorees were:

Mrs. Middleton

Mr. Deraway

Miss Greathouse

Miss Ekholm

Mrs. Merrow

We caught up with Coach Upshire to talk about how the day went, and the importance of impact like this within his program.
