BIG BROOKFIELD BATS COME OUT AGAIN

BROOKFIELD, OHIO- Arianna Jones did the opposing team no favors on Tuesday, picking up four hits over four at bats and leading Brookfield to a  20-2 win over LaBrae.

Jones singled in the first, doubled in the second, singled in the third, and hit a grand slam in the fourth.

The Warriors tallied seven runs in the second inning as their offense in the inning was led by Sophia Hook, Katie Logan, Abby DeJoy, Cadence  Huffman, Jasmine Hubbard, and  Katie Gibson, all driving in runs in the inning. DeJoy had a long ball in the second inning for her tenth homer of the season.

Miranda Nicholson led the Warriors to victory in the pitcher’s circle as she surrendered two runs on three hits over five innings, striking out two and walking one.

Vada Allen took the loss for LaBrae as she went one and one-third innings, allowing 11 runs on ten hits.

The Vikings will look to bounce back when they take on Campbell Memorial on Wednesday. Brookfield will go up against Maplewood on Wednesday.
