MCDONALD OH- In a non-conference showdown, the McDonald volleyball team showcased their dominance as they swept Brookfield in an impressive fashion to kick off the week. The scores spoke volumes about McDonald’s prowess on the court, as they secured the victory with scores of 25-10, 25-15, and 25-14.

Leading the charge for McDonald were several standout players who made significant contributions to the team’s success. Megan Klockner displayed her skill as a playmaker with 20 assists, ensuring smooth and efficient offensive execution. In addition to her playmaking, Klockner showcased her defensive abilities with 8 digs, highlighting her all-around contribution to the team.

Gianna Constantino’s impact on the match was undeniable, as she tallied an impressive 10 kills, underlining her proficiency at the net. Her 9 digs also demonstrated her commitment to the defensive aspect of the game. Lauren Sierra and Miley Titus also played crucial roles in McDonald’s defensive efforts, contributing 9 and 8 digs, respectively.

Brookfield, while facing a tough opponent, showcased their own talents on the court. Ariana Jones and Leah Wlodarski led the defensive efforts with 5 and 6 digs, respectively. Rylie Burdge orchestrated the team’s offense with 6 assists, while Cailey Wellman and Alyson Ruschak demonstrated their blocking prowess with 4 and 3 blocks, respectively. Wellman also made her presence felt on the offensive end with 7 kills, joined by Leah Wlodarski and Sarah Lindholm with 2 kills each.
