BOARDMAN HANDLES FIRST ROAD TEST

AKRON OH- Boardman hit the road for the first time this season and passed the test.  They traveled to Hoban and used a five run 6th inning to storm ahead for the 6-2 win.

Mikayla Rivera was the driving force of the Spartans offense as she went 2-2 with a pair of doubles and 3 RBI. She also scored a run.  Gabi Sferra went 3-4 with a RBI. Tori Strines also had multiple hits on the day going 2-4 with a RBI.

Sferra got the win in the circle for Boardman. She went 4 innings and struck out 6 batters, while only giving up 1 hit.  Strines threw 3 innings striking out 6 as well.   Taylor Gerring led the Knights offense with both RBI.
