BROOKFIELD AND CONNEAUT SPLIT SATURDAY TWIN BILL

GAME 1:

BROOKFIELD, OHIO- The Brookfield Warriors took game one of the double header matchup against Conneaut 9-4.

After trailing 3-2 through the top of the sixth inning, the Warriors scored seven unanswered runs in the bottom of the of the frame to take the lead for good. Connor Heater led the Warriors in hits going 3 for 4.

Alijah Bauder was the winning pitcher of the game going seven innings, allowing 6 hits, 4 runs, and sat down 9 batters.

Bryce Spurlin had a valiant effort as he went 3 for 3 at the plate for the Spartans. Anthony Rivera was the starting pitcher for the Spartans allowing 4 hits, 6 runs, had 9 strikeouts.

GAME 2:

In what was a back and forth game the entire way, Conneaut pulled away to win game two of a double header matchup against Brookfield 12-8.

Conneaut had three players with at least three hits including J.R. Hutchinson, who went 3 for 6, Bryce Spurlin, who went 3 for 5, and Dylan Philip, who went 3 for 3. Aiden Davison was the starting Pitcher for the Spartans pitching four innings, allowing 6 hits, 7 runs, and had 9 strikeouts.

Bray Coleman led the Warriors at the plate going 3 for 3 and as well as on the mound allowing 13 hits, 7 runs, and had 7 strikeouts.

Brookfield will be back on the diamond when they travel to Crestview on Monday to play the Rebels. Conneaut will back at home on Monday to host St. John.
