BULLDOGS TAME STRUTHERS

CORTLAND, OH- The Lakeview Bulldogs dominated Struthers with a convincing 10-0 win on Monday, thanks to a big fourth inning where they plated six runs. Ty Chamberlain kicked off the scoring spree with a single that drove in two runs, followed by Andrew Brown and Nathan Paolucci each adding RBI singles. Hayden Newton doubled to bring in another run, and Matt Seikel grounded out but still managed to knock in a run.

The Bulldogs first got on the scoreboard in the second inning. Chamberlain singled and Aidan O’Rourke scored on a tag-up play, setting the tone for the game.

On the mound, Paolucci was untouchable, throwing a five-inning no-hitter while striking out five and issuing just two walks, earning him the win. On the other side, Jordan Becker struggled for Struthers, giving up six runs (five earned) over three innings.

The Bulldogs were on fire at the plate, racking up 10 hits. Chamberlain and Matthew DeProfio each picked up two hits, while Seikel also added a pair. Chamberlain and Brown were instrumental, each driving in two runs to bolster the Bulldogs’ offense.

Defensively, Lakeview was sharp, turning a double play to help maintain their lead and keep Struthers off the board.

The Bulldogs are back in action against Struthers on Tuesday, looking to continue their winning streak in this back-to-back matchup.
