CANFIELD RUNS WILD

CANFIELD OH- Canfield meant business on Wednesday night as they welcomed in the Ursuline Irish. The Cardinals had gotten off to an impressive 2-0 start, but they knew the Irish would pose a challenge. Well, to say the Cardinals were prepared would be an understatement.  After a big 19-7 first quarter that set the tone of the night, Canfield rambled their way to a 56-18 victory.

Kate Sahli had a great night for the Cardinals inside and out. She beat the Irish off the dribble, but also was able to knock down some shots on the perimeter. She finished with a game-high 13 points.  Abby Muckleroy continued her shooting expertise hitting three triples on her way to 11 points.  Jenn Triveri had an impressive night off the bench for the Cardinals as well with 7 points.

Ursuline was led by Alayna Smith who finished the night withn8 points. She earned every point she got as the Cardinals defense was hyper focused on taking her away. Chelsee Johnson scored 6 points for the Irish.

Canfield has a huge test up next as they’ll welcome in Stow on Saturday.  Ursuline is also back in action on Saturday as they host United.
