TOUGH SLEDDING ON SENIOR NIGHT FOR BEAVERS

EAST LIVERPOOL, OH- On Senior Night at Beaver Local High School, the home team celebrated their eight seniors: Hayden Beebout, Colin Gaydos, Keaton Heddleston, Wyatt Johnson, Micah Jones, Jordyn Kropp, Kristian Lantz, and Evan Stephenson, with a special pregame ceremony. But once the game got underway, the Weir Red Riders took control, turning the night into a challenging one for the Beavers.

The Red Riders came out swinging, putting up three runs in the first inning and another in the second. But it was the fifth inning that really broke the game wide open. Capitalizing on a mix of sharp hitting and some costly Beaver Local errors, Weir exploded for seven runs, sailing to an 11-0 win.

Beaver Local struggled to get their bats going, managing only three singles throughout the game. The Red Riders, on the other hand, racked up eight hits and kept the field clean with no errors.

The Beavers don’t have much time to dwell on the loss, though, as they’re set to face United at home today at 5:00 PM. They’ll be looking to bounce back and give their fans something to cheer about.
